| Thallus continuous or verruculose, yellowish grey to whitish grey, epruinose. Soredia absent. Prothallus not visible. Apothecia sessile to slightly constricted at the base, 0.4–0.8 mm diam.; disc pale red-brown to orange-brown, epruinose; margin concolorous with the thallus, thin, prominent, entire. Cortex hyaline, distinct, gelatinous, 20–25 µm thick laterally and 45–65 µm thick basally. Amphithecium with small crystals rapidly soluble in KOH (campestris-type). Parathecium hyaline, without crystals, 10–15 µm thick. Epihymenium red-brown, c. 10–15 µm thick, K– (glabrata-type), without crystals. Hymenium hyaline, inspersed with oil droplets. Hypothecium and subhymenium hyaline. Paraphyses sparingly branched; apices not thickened. Ascospores ellipsoidal to broadly ellipsoidal, 10.0–12.5 × 6.5–8.0 µm. CHEMISTRY: Thallus and apothecial margin K+ yellow, C–, Pd+ pale orange; containing atranorin and unidentified terpenes. |  |

| This endemic species is known only from the type locality in south-eastern N.S.W. where it grows on the bark of Casuarina. | ||
